Admittedly, this is an edge case, but we arrived to check in a little before 10pm to find the lobby totally closed. I guess that’s fine. Branson rolls up shop pretty early. The signage on the door said for after-hours check-in use the phone on the wall. There was no phone. We called the “emergency” number left on a sheet of paper taped to the window and spoke to a very nice man who works at a nearby (jointly-owned?) hotel about 10 minutes away. He drove over and got us our keys.
The rooms are dated and the beds are basically bare spring mattresses, but it was clean and comfortable for the price.
In the morning, we went to try the advertised “free hot breakfast,” and the listed hours were from 8:30am to 10:30am. When we arrived at 8:30 there was nobody in the breakfast room, no coffee, and no hot food of any kind, just a couple of assorted individually-wrapped muffins, some nutri-grain bars, and a bag of bagels.
We waited around for a while in the hopes that someone would bring more food, but that didn’t happen, so we ended up leaving to eat at Silver Dollar City instead.
Used to really like this place for the price, but something has changed, and seemingly not for the better.
